358-Style Picks

I used these 358 Fender picks

for a long time a while back (10 years ago) but have been using the regular 351 mediums more recently. I have been playing with a couple of Fender tortoise 358s recently and would like to use the smaller pick for awhile.

I notice that there are other manufacturers (Clayton, D'Andrea, Dunlop, etc.) that make this size pick out of different materials (Acetal, Celluloid, Tortex, etc) - can anyone who uses any of these in the small 358 shape make some recommendations?

Dunlop stubby. 2.0. Great pick.

I discovered these a few years ago and bought a couple of dozen to try.
I have given some away and still have a lot left.
I find them the best pick I have ever used !
You cant break them , they don't fly out of your fingers and no difference in tone !
I had previously used nothing but Fender,but these were IMHO a revelation .

I use Clayton 1.0 mm small teardrop.

The Acetal plastic doesn't seem to sweat very much. The logo makes a good grip surface too.

I heard that the Fender white Jazz Heavy's were Roy Buchanan's picks he used.
So I went out and all I could find was (6) dark red tortouse types, beside the color.. i instantialy started to enjoy the attack and smooth nature of these picks.

now the weekend is over and I'm scouring the floor trying to locate just one...
Now I know why white was the color of choice.

Buck - I've bought white 358s by the gross. Trying the remember where - either MF or Elderly.

I've used the Gibson black 358 shape, too - they do sound a little darker than the white Fenders. Don't know why - they feel the same.

i buy white ones like that and either tortoise or black ones as well. then i carry both colors in my pocket. then i can choose whichever one is furtherest from the color of the floor of the stage. that way you can see them when you drop them even on the darkest of stages. i usually use white because it generally stands out on dark gray stages, even tortoise ones disappears under stage lights on a gray carpet.

i bought a whole gross of those little white ones (which i love) except they were NOS 70's music man picks w/ logo of the little men wearing bell bottoms on
