I saw that when it was first listed.

IMO the selller is plain wrong. No, I don't think a company that has been making notes on their guitar bodies in pencil, ink, and stamped impression for 55 years would do that. Nor do I believe that there would not be a paint stick shadow in the neck pocket, custom made for someone or not.

Built for Buck Owens! Hah!

They are actually trying to pass that off as an original finish?

You've got to give them credit for cahones.

It’s easy to copy genuine looking Fender workman’s marks (I’ll die laughing if I see one more TG signature), but on that purple Tele it just looks crazy & crude. Personally I wouldn’t believe any initials or names on any vintage Tele (unless there was proper independent documentary evidence) .

Wonder if it's coincidence that two of his latest ebay purchases were Antiquity Tele pickups...

Don’t prove PT Barnum right…

“Although we believe this instrument is original, we are selling as is, no approval period, or returns.”

In eBaydom, these are code words for “bend over, here comes”

Also . .check out what other kinda stuff this guy has been selling….

Don’t prove PT Barnum right…

Nuff said?
