Fuzzy - Need help with your wiring diagram

Fuzzy....this is a dumb question. I printed your standard telecaster wiring diagram from your website. My question is this. Is the diagram a view of the guitar from the top looking down ...in other words, are the terminals on the switch and the pots as they would be located if you could see through the control plate as you looked at the guitar from above. Or, is the diagram from the underside of the pots and switch? Thanking you in advance for your help.

  • Good question Television
  • I haff dunn sew many that I assume most folks dew the same.
  • The drawing is orientated jes as if yew pulled the screws out and laid the panel up-side-down on the lower part of the body away from the bridge or on the udder side of the control cavity from the bridge.
  • Here issa fiddy fore Esquire turnt haff way there. Keep turnin and if wires are long enuff yew kin sit it back inna cavity (up-side-down).

  • Several udder questions folks haff had over the years are:
Which side should the spring on the switch be on?
Ant-sir iss 90% of them are as shown above. They will werk both wayz.
My lugs are not staggered the same as inna drawing.
Ant-sir iss sum later wonz haff a different layout but wire the same way jes don't look the same.

  • If yew haff questions about switchin and wirin and stuff dew a SEARCH here onna forum.
  • Jes type in switch inna first box and then type in 0(zero not O)le FUZZY (0le FUZZY) inna second box.
  • We haff had much discussion over the years here.

  • Hope this helps.
