Stairway to Tele heaven!

I took this picture of all my Teles on the stairs and thought you might like it.

From top to bottom and left to right: Richwood thinline copy, Squier CV 50s, Squier Tele custom II (with P90s), Partscaster I, US Special, MIJ 50s Tele (1996)

One of the most common Tele 'facts' that I often hear from the uninitiated is that Jimmy Page reputedly played the solo on stairway to heaven on a Tele. I see it in mags and articles all the time, like it's a real surprise. If you've seen the Zeppelin footage from Denmark 69, you'll know that Jimmy Page can coax a lot of sounds from a Tele - and we all know it is the most versatile guitar around right? From Western Swing to rock and who knows where, a Tele will get you there

I had to be careful not to drop one down the stairs - but I guess if you are gonna drop a guitar down some stairs a Tele would be a good choice. Probably still be in tune too...

Don't they have the weirdest ability to know when to get in the way? Just like cats who move just as soon as you're ready to snap the photo.

At least the guitar would stay still, no?

Thanks man. I'm currently modding the thinline, put on a new bridge, new electronics and a new bridge pup. I'm gonna do a post on that when I have the neck pup in and it's 'finished' - not that they ever are...
