My completed project....
Here it is..
Specs... USCG swamp ash body, fatback USCG maple neck. Reranch Les Paul gold finish. Gotoh Kluson copy tuners Duncan Jerry Donahue bridge and Vintage '54 neck pickups. All other parts from Stewmac.... I did learn one thing.... there is no such thing as too much grain filler.... note the grain showing thru the finish on the pic of the back..... ![]() Chad |

Darn Fine Job! Congrats!
Wow, that is one nice looking Tele. Congratulations on a fine job. I am very impressed.
How does it sound? Play like a dream? Emmitt O.

A great classic looking guitar! As they say, it is hard to fault the original design in the first place, and your guitar does implement that design with great style!! 8)
You are lucky, myself I have lots of plans and none of them finished (or even started, for the most...) Geir :)

Gotta love another Goldtop telecaster...
I assembled some pieces a couple years ago, but I strayed a little further from the tele traditions than you did... but my Goldtop Flying Telecaster is probably the best guitar I own (and that's saying something)... there's a good pic here: http://www.rocketsfavoriteband.com/rfb3_142.htm |

Not bad...

I also used the Stewmac cloth wire on it. It seemed to be pretty good as well. Chad |
