A great tele player-Stuie French
Heard him last night at a little house concert in Davis CA. He plays country and folk style with his wife the singer Camille Te Nahu. He's Australian, she's from NZ. They shared the bill with another Aussie singer/songwriter Audrey Auld (now a Nashville resident). He was playing a particularly nice looking 52 VHR through the sponsor's vintage Princeton. Great sound in a tiny room. They're playing tonight in Santa Cruz and tomorrow night in Redwood City--last chance to see them in the US. I highly recommend.
Full disclosure--he usually plays a Gretsch but brought the tele because he could take the neck off for the flight over. |
