Flip control plate on a CVC?

Has anyone done this? Would I need to do any re-wiring or soldering? He it can be easily done I might have a bash at it.
Cheers

If you just flip it, the tone control would be on top and the volume in the middle. No point to that, IMO. The reason for a reverse plate, again IMO, is to have the volume on top for quick access and volume swells. Not sure if you can flip the v and t pots around without soldering. Might not be enough slack in the wiring, or whatever. I have teles with both configurations and I do like the reverse better, but not so much that I would go to any effort to change it (The one I have with the reverse plate came that way).

Thanks guys. Yes I meant to say reverse not flip. I will have a look under the hood and see if I can do it. I am not the handiest of handymen so if it is too tricky I will leave it as is.

if you can solder youre golden.

If youre reversing remember to resolder or flip the switch so the neck and bridge are in the correct positions or they will be backwards.

takes about 15 minutes todo ^^

Thanks - I used to be able to solder 25 years ago so I am sure it will come back to me!
Not sure about 15 minutes though - might need to allocate a whole Saturday to allow for rework and swearing time :-)

I have done 5 Tele's this way.
You have to remove the plate, switch the volume & tone pots, reverse the switch and then put the plate on backwards.
There's usually a couple solder joints involved. Easy mod. Once you're used to it all "normal" Tele's seem weird.

Thanks - I will at least take off the control plate and check it out and see what I have to do.

I know there's a huge difference between yours and my Squier infinity but there was enough slack and wiring to with the volume and tone knobs to just swap em around and then I just 180d the switch

Well, if you flip it, the pots will be on top and the knobs will be in the cavity. I do not recommend it. It's not good for access to the knobs.

Oh, wait... never mind!

Does the reverse wiring get in the way of picking? With the knobs on top. Toggle is a little more narrow.
