Guitar Center do financing on Used Gear?

Just wondering if they do financing on used items.

I see a 71' telecaster there for $3500

too bad the 68' is $5000.

btw, how would a 71 hold up to a 68 for twang? to get that Don Rich sound?

thanks

AFAIK, their Preferred Player card can be used to purchase anything they sell. I don't think used equipment is eligible for the special no interest financing deals they offer however.

If in doubt, stop by your local store ask them. When I got my card they were having a promotion for new members where you got 15% off plus 12 month no-interest financing. I got a new Martin D-15M at that rate. I don't know if they would have let me do that for a used instrument. Looking on their site now, they have a promotion with either 6 month or 12 month no interest financing, depending on what product you buy. However it specifically says it doesn't apply to used instruments.

But if you really can't afford to pay for the guitar outright, and can't afford to pay interest, is it perhaps too expensive? I don't know that they would give you a $3,500 credit line either. My credit is perfect (when I got a car last year the salesman said he had never seen a score that high), and they gave me a $2000 credit limit on my new Preferred Player card.

But really, you should just stop by the store and discuss with them and then you will know exactly what is possible.

that's good to know. im not sure about the vintage stuff...because i think thats more of a risk for the lender...especially in terms of retrieving the item..appraisal, insurance claims...just a wild guess.
