let's group "imagineer" a TDPRI custom Tele!

Just thought this would be cool, excuse me if it's been done before. We're all "experts" so let's see how we do collectively!

Here's the skinny: Each person adds a part until we have a complete guitar... down to the type of wiring and strap buttons. Get as specific as you want. Then I'll photoshop it, we can price it out, and maybe one of us will actually build it.

I'll kick it off with the first couple pieces... the body and neck of course! (however, color, binding, wood, etc. are all up for grabs) I just wanted to sneak in a "V" neck.... would prefer boatneck, but that may not be what floats everyeones.... uh.... boat

Let's keep a periodic running list as we go. A part/idea can be voted down if it receives 3 negative votes (to keep it interesting). It could get cumbersome so feel free to suggest how we can streamline this.

If this is stupid, I'm sorry but I'm bummed to be working on the 4th and its raining out.

1) 50's spec Tele body (ash?), color, etc.
2) wood Tele neck with medium V profile, wood fretboard, ____ frets, etc.
3)
.......

Exactly, and that's a way better title!

I think they did something similar over at the Martin forum and Martin actually made a model with certificate and all for members to purchase. Wishful thinking, but maybe Fender..... hmmmm?! ....Eldred, are you listening?

edit: here's the UMGF custom:

http://theunofficialmartinguitarforu...ustom-Guitar-1

I wasn't around when they started this, so don't know much about it, but I bought a guitar from someone that owned one and they told me about it, although I don't remember how he said it all came to be.

hmm... not sure what the rule should be on that one... although I guess I technically did... ok, you're grandfathered in, but after this, one vote each! how's that for twisted democracy. Unless people want to say that picking both pickups is technically 2 already... then my hands are tied.
