Which Rosewood fretboard Tele should I get?

I've decided I want a Tele with a rosewood neck. I have a CV50 VB, so I'm naturally considering the CVC. However, my inner headstock snob makes me kind of want a Fender.
What would be a good choice, bearing in mind I won't be spending crazy amounts (>€1500)?
(well, maybe I would, but I'm going to try not to, GAS is a cruel mistress sometimes)

I had a 2006 American Special with OVs yet another 60th anniversary model that was just great. Wonderful neck, great sounding guitar that could vary from really twangy, to the sweetest neck tone I've ever heard on a Tele. I'd buy it back in a heartbeat.

The MIM 60's Classic ... Or - if you can afford it - the AV'62RI.

Great, classic Tele models with all the right specs and not least: tone.

+1- Just what I was going to say! The 60s classic has the rosewood fret board and isn't too expensive. And its a Fender standard MIM.

You guys aren't making this any easier for my finances by suggesting the 62! Both the surf green (!!) and the sunburst are turning me on.
Do the MIM 60's come in anything but white, black or car? Those are kind of boring colors.

I took a look and I see what you mean, Trouble.
MF price is $1600 USD here- top of your range and you probably have to pay a bit more there in Germany- but damn, those are nice!
All I see is those 3 colors on the Classic series 60s.
What the hell! Go for it!

I got my classic 60s for a little more than the price of a new Classic Vibe.

CAR is not boring, it's shiny and rich and the mint guard makes it look really classy. Hard to appreciate in online pictures.

Really are fantastic guitars and a notable step up in quality, even from the MIM standards.

I'm tickled pink with my classic 60's in CAR. I'm playing scales on it as I read this post actually. Great guitar. If you prefer a different color, and don't want to spend the big bucks, might want to look at some of the MIJ guitars. They get some cool finishes over there.

How about some pics of yours? My very first guitar ever was a knock off Tele in red. More Dakota red than CAR. It was just seriously uncool when all the rad dudes had explorers and v's an Paulas. Then again, spandex pants were also a serious fashion statement. The 80's were a weird time.

Like I say, it's really hard to take a picture that really capture the way light bounces off this thing. Very sexy.

But colour should be the last thing you worry about. I always thought I was against CAR until this became available at a great price, now I love it.

There are a couple of FSRs from the past based on the MIM 60s. Such as this Palo Escrito:

I think if you dislike the basic MIM 60s choices, look at the MIM Deluxe Nashville Tele. Available with a rosewood board in blonde and amber and sunburst, colors you have not rejected.
