B-Bender

I picked up a B-bender in 1998 and took it to Joe Glaser and had it "Nashvilled"

I have two strats and a 335 dot, I play the tele every day. Its not a hard rock/metal guitar but everything else is covered.

Well, on the MIM Deluxe Nashvilles, first thing I do is take off the 6 hammer bridge and saddles and substitute something like this:

Highway One plate, Callaham enhanced brass saddles.

I have a Nashville Power Tele that's about 10-11 years old. Right off I replaced the neck pickup with a Firebird-style mini HB and added a toggle to parallel in the bridge pu to get all possible combinations. Haven't done anything to it since (other than replacing 3 of the Fishman saddles whenever they suddenly go dead) but have been thinking about coil tapping the mini for awhile.

+1 on the brass saddles and a p/p pot so you can have neck and bridge. That's a MUST !!

Sure. That might make it sound a little less twangy but that's a much, much better quality bridge and it should fit real easy.

Although it wasn't all that bad too begin with, I put on a 52RI bridge and saddles. In addition I replaced the pickups with DiMarzio virtual vintage tele set and a VV strat in the middle. No buzz or hum, even in less than ideal venues. Working man's guitar.

Replaced the stock 5-way switch with a single wafer super switch.

Now the middle position is the neck/bridge combo instead of the middle pup. This is the same wiring as used in the B-Bender and the Burton Tele.

Make sure you get a "single" wafer super switch.

Using the typical super switch (it has two wafers) you'll have a difficult time getting it to fit in the cavity.

I have the $30 Wilkinson compensated plate/saddle set up on my cheap Partsocaster and really like it. Before I went with Glendale for my new Highway One I did a lot of reading on bridge plates and saddles. Wilkinson gets quite a bit of love around here. Especially for the price - Callaham will set you back around $120, Glendale around $160.
It certainly sounds better than what came stock on the Highway One.
