First post, second Telecaster purchase! From Japan!
Hi everyone,
First post, so hello :) I owned a US ash telecaster a few years ago but had to sell to fund a new roof. Always missed it. So this week I turned 40 and bought myself another Telecaster, from Ishibashi in Japan! It's a '62 Reissue in Old Lake Placid Blue, looks so classy. It shipped but I am not sure when it'll arrive. Hoping in the next week, we'll see! USED FENDER JAPAN 1962 REISSUE TELECASTER BOUND BODY w/TEXAS SPECIAL PICKUPS CRAFTED IN JAPAN!! YEAR: 2002-2004 TL62B-75TX/OLB(Old Lake Placid Blue) ![]()

I really like that guitar. That's one of the nicest bound models i have seen and I think the RW fingerboard sets that color off nicely. That is a beauty!

Indeed a wonderful guitar, got one myself. I have made many tests to get a very nice, crunchy sound on the neck p'up, so check this: Use the neck p/u, hook up a decent overdrive, roll of the tone to about,"8" and then roll check out what happens with the treble when you roll off the volume - as opposed to many other guitars the sound on these (at least mine..) get crispier, and twangier.
I love this feature and I hope your beautiful LPB has the same pots as mine... |
