Oddly, today I went to go look for a Strat... no kidding. I haven't owned/played a Strat in almost 30 years.

My wife should be worried. Maybe tomorrow, I'll be going out to look for a little redhead.

My Les Paul was the most expensive, therefore it is most like my wife.

My wife is as pretty as a strat and as honest as a tele.
She cooks like a Marshall.

This is my g/f Dawn. She painted this PBass (for a client)...

She built, painted, and aged these for me...

So I guess I have a Girlfriend who builds me Wives. ;-)

Wives don't tend to react as well as teles do to the suggestion of a parts upgrade.

That's just great. You ruined it for the rest of us.

Here's what just happened when you compare your tele to your wife.
You locked yourself into one guitar for the rest of your life. Because,
now if you get another tele, she's going to say...you can finish the
sentence.

Howdy,

I was was a "Strat" man for 19 years until the day I test-drove a new American Std. Tele. Sold the Strat, bought the Tele and I've never looked back. For me, the Tele simply "out Fenders" the Stratocaster.
Given that I can take or leave the Strat's "in between" settings on the 3 way switch (or 5-way switch, for that matter), the only position I used was the brilliant neck position on the Strat.

Enter the Tele. Neck position gets a fair approximation of the wonderful Strat. Middle position: Holy Cow! Pure, transparent Fendery bliss. Bridge: Pure Leo Genius. Brilliant, authoritative twang as heard on "Last Train to Clarksville". The Tele is even more versatile than it's younger brother. YMMV.

PS: I acquired my Tele at about the same time I married my wife; we're still together. :)

My Telecaster has a nice neck, but it won't do the washing up and squeals if things get too dirty. So perhaps you're right.

Nah, I can't just leave that out there without saying how much I like my wife. Am I under the thumb or what?!

My wife would never let me have 2 other wives in the same house. My number 1 tele doesn't seem to mind.

Hey guys, I haven't posted here in awhile so my latest purchase (2 weeks ago) was a Custom Shop Wildwood 10 Strat with brazzy board. Sherwood Green Metallic light relic....if Strat's are girlfriends then my wife approves of my new mistress. :)
