Finally found a cheap themometer like tweed case! (UK)
After hunting for years and not wanting to pony up for a nocaster case I managed to find this online and ordered 2 before they disappear.
Fit is decent and the strat horn space leaves place for a strap. The handle is real comfy and should balance better than an original case, tweed is a fair yellower than the photos though... |

OOOOH... very VERY nice looking case. Looks really well made too aye. Nice find and thanks for the info on where to find them.
Can't decide if I want a "shaped" case or the more typical "suitcase"... my current TKL is a suitcase and I love it, but I really want a Tweed case to match my Tweed C50 and cause I just think they're so gorgeous, what better companion to a gorgeous guitar. So any particular benefits or disadvantages to a fitted case versus the suitcase style??? Cheers Dave

I got a Stagg case with my '70 (don't ask!) - its a floppy hinged fragile POS (the case, that is) - so.......... nice as it looks, what about the quality ..... really?

@Dave The benefits for me is looks (don't think I have to explain) and size. These smaller cases are less clumsy and lighter, comfy to carry around and fit in your car and airplane overhead comfortably. They also lean nicely against the wall and corner. Some guys like the rectangle types for fitting in extra stuff but I am paranoid that one day a boss pedal will escape and smash my guitar. Plus all that crap is a PITA (heavy) to carry in an already heavy rectangle case. Better to put it in a bag on my shoulder. |
