Help, I have stripped the finish off my project Tele...

It is a "frankenstein," and has no vintage market value, yet it is a wonderful player! After mulling over which finish to apply, I have decided that the natural beauty of the wood grain would go really nicely with my tortoiseshell pickguard.. Now that it is stripped, friends, I admit ignorance! What do I do next, and in which order? Which websites can assist me in protecting this natural beauty? By the way, she has a Lindy Fralin Strat in the neck, and a Duncan Vintage Broadcaster in the bridge (3-saddle), maple neck, and vintage Klusons. Any help would be appreciated amigos and amigas>>> out in the west texas town of El Paso, your buddy, chickenscratch.

finish...

Howdee Chickenscratch- try Reranch.com; thay have complete, step by step instructions as well as the products you'll need/want. I used vintage butterscotch on both a strat and a tele body, then sprayed clear over top to seal. Very easy to do, and I'm very pleased with the results.

Our veroy own Rob DiStefano

has an excellent tutorial on finishing on his Assembled Axes website. It may be on the links page or perhaps someone knows the web page address. I'd look it up, but I gotta go!

Here's a LINK to the part of Rob's page that deals with finishes.

(Click on the "Assembled Axes" header to get a look at the other sections of his page- lotsa good info there....)
