All this talk about tattoos got me thinking.
I'm about due for another. I was thinking along the lines if something like this -

I suppose I could fit twang in there...
...but I'm not really a twang kind of guy. The tone, taste and tenacity thing was borrowed from the inside of a ZZ Top CD. I always viewed it as meaning something like righteous tone, tasteful playing and the tenacity to get it right, see it though, or whatever. Obviously it's open to interpretation.

Depends how big you're going to get it. It would have to be rather large to get any detail in on the guitar. If you don't have an artist in mind already, find somebody who is good at doing script. And personally, I always advise against putting so much writing in a tattoo, not to say that a good artist couldn't make it work, but the design can get cluttered.
