Syd Barrett Tele.
I really love this tele syd barrett had, its a black custom telecaster but it has a maple fretboard, did fender make these with a maple fretboard, or is the neck taken from another guitar? i've never seen a custom tele with a maple fretboard, but, i cant say ive looked around a lot for them though,,,

It was original
It was original. He had two Teles I believe; the 68 custom in the photo:
http://www.sydbarrett.net/welcome.htm and the '62 Esquire that was his main guitar in The Pink Floyd. http://www.pink-floyd.org/barrett/syd_img/syd21.jpg He later stripped it and added a psychedelic design to it. http://www.pink-floyd.org/barrett/syd_img/b66aa.jpg Syd was great. |
