Black '52 style is my favorite Tele look. They look great...but make it a single-pickup Esquire and keep the bridge cover on, and they look that much better.
If you are talking about "famous" Teles, I'd have to go with Francis Rossi's green one (before the change to modern pickups and hardware). |

72 Tele Deluxe's, Thinlines, 52's, Customs... really, is there a Tele that's NOT cool??? I certainly have my faves but even a 7.25 radius neck with tiny vintage fretts is a joy to play. Mimi Page's Dragon Tele and Jeff Becks "workhorse" are some of my favorite "celebrity Tele's" oh and I WISH I could find more info on the Tele David Gilmour played at one point (easily one of my biggest influences)...

If he hates Teles he won't get it no matter what you "show" him. Plug in next to him on stage and let him see why so many think the Tele is one of the greatest weapons to be using.

Dr. Banana, who is that in the picture you posted?
(I must be ignorant. Lots of times I don't recognize who's in the picture without a caption. Am I the only one with that problem?) Bob Arbogast

I love my two blackguards most. The CS Nocaster and the Nashcaster conversion. The sunburst CVC runs a close second.

Umm, besides all of them? Haha. Crook's! (Brad Paisley plays them). There are seriously too many to list. This may not cure your friend anyways. But if ever he does get cured from "Tele-hatred", he will be cured for life and love them!
