I don't hate 'em, but I don't want one.

The second was like you had a body, and found a neck somewhere and stuck it on it. I really get tired of looking at BSB after a while. I wish they made more Teles in some sort of plain white. The only thing I like less than butter Scotch is BLACK!!

+1 have one that's perfect, had another that just plain looked bad.. Looked even worse next to the good one..

The Classic Vibe BSB looks pretty good. If Fender
starts doing the 52 AVRI in that, I might consider
a new one down the road. Unfortunately, the new
ones in the stores are too orange and the necks
are even more orange. I just can't bring myself to
like them.

I keep an eye open on Craigslist and Ebay for
local sales of 52's. I simply will not by a $1,000 to
$1,200 used guitar sight unseen. Especially,
when I read descriptions and look at the photos.
Then ask questions. Most just don't seem
100% what they are represented as. The descriptions
and answers are flimsy enough, that they would pass
as an acceptable answer if challenged. You really
have to be careful.

For now, I stick with my Blonde Baja, that looks more
like a Honey Blonde.

What's next, not liking the 350 on a Chevy forum.

Sorry but I just had to say that! And I am a Ford guy!

I LOVE it, but (as sacriligious as this may be) I much prefer them with white pickguards.

It's one of my absolute favorite Fender finishes, although the MIJ reissues of them they made (late 80s-early 90s?) often came out too green. I think they were trying to make them seem aged as if they'd been played for 25 years in smoky bars. Didn't work out so well. I'd still take one!

I like the original antigua pickguards, but I once say a guy with an antigua P-bass that had a reddish tort guard and (IMO) it was stunning.

BSB is fine, "black guard please", but I agree that antigua makes me vomit.

I like the classic look of BSB but I do think it's been overdone. I just wish there weren't so many BSB teles.

Very much my experience all around.

It's a fine color but somehow I don't have any teles in that color... so I guess it's not my favorite.

Mine are all either black, or what Fender has started marketing as "midnight wine" (a sort of dark red).

FWIW, my teenaged niece calls BSB "monkey poop" and specifically stated she did NOT want one in that color... so I guess it's a matter of taste.

BSB is fine. Two or three tone sunbursts are fine.

What I don't like is solid colors, especially black. So, naturally, I own two black Teles, because they were great deals and played great. And I own a black Epi Casino as well.

I like the BSB on my CS Nocaster but I've seen a lot of other models in BSB that I didn't care for as much. Too yellow or maybe not quite transparent enough. Maybe it's as was posted by StratBluesRock those with a nitro finish seem to look better than those with a poly finish. JMHO

I love BSB. I love nitro Honey Blonde a little bit better tho. Nautral Ash comes in third for me . . .
