Switch tip coming loose...

My plastic switch tip is loose on my Tele. Every time I switch pickups I can feel it loose and it's driving me nuts....

Apart from glueing it, does any body have any quick-fix solutions?

Krazy glue! You can still get the tip off if you have to.

One drop of super glue will work, but what I did on my 3 Teles was cut a tiny strip of masking tape and fold it over the top of metal tip, then push the barrel tip on. Holds great.

Another option is simple Elmer's glue. I used it on my Tele when I was replacing the switch tip, and the new tip was just a little too big. I put the glue into the slot of the tip and then put it on the switch. The tackiness of the glue held the tip in place long enough for the glue to fill up the empty spaces and dry. I can take the tip off and put it back on, and it stays in place.

no need for glue. I had a problem with an mij Tele before when I switched out the switch.

Just put a small strip of electrical tape on the tip on the switch. the put the switch tip back on and it should be snug.

Elmer's glue for me although the tape sounds like a good idea.

Your tip is probably broken if the problem didn't occur when the tip was originally fitted.

I have a bag of tips in my guitar case because they break so often.

I used to just wrap some electrical tape around the switch to get a snugger fit, but eventually the tips always fail.

A drop of solder on the side/sides of the switch works great and is permanent.

Another one here who wraps a small bit of masking tape around the switch tip. Although I've been kinda digging the look of a strat tip on there and they seem to hold just fine stock.
