At first I thought, "Hand rubbed ash? What difference would that make?"
And then I saw the pictures and it went to "HOLY SHHHHHHHHH!!!!" Looks silky! |

thanks guys! Got it to compliment my Les Paul. I didn't get the rosewood fretboard, because I already have on on the LP, and I just think maple fits and feels better for a fender. sounds great, is awesome! And no, you'll pry this thing from my cold, dead hands before I get tired of it

Cool finish! Reminds me of Gretsch's brown finish on George Harrison's guitars!
One thing I noticed was that the neck seems to have more of a vintage tint. I love it--I decided not to buy a B-Bender Tele earlier this year because the maple neck was so pale. Meh. I really prefer a vintage tint on Fender maple necks! |

I've got a couple ash bodies I am stripping back, now.
Now I know how to get the most from them. They had some uneven uptake of some unusual color stains; a real dark finish with some satin lacquer over it, should do the trick. |
