How many guitars do I need?

I am thinking to cover the sonic guitar realm, I need a telecaster, a strat style, an LP style, a jr with P90s, an acoustic, a Richenbacher, a heavy metal style guitar, hmmm what am I forgetting? Help me out!

If nothing else I can use this thread for ideas to justify buying more guitars to the wife. I need a _____ because it's the only guitar that makes that sound, my dear, so can I buy one?

Don't forget ES-335 style semi-hollow and a big jazz box.

The rule is that I can have as many guitars as I can put in my closet. I'm at 15.

Acrhtop acoustic, dobro, lap steel, and the biggie you've missed - a 335 style. I'm partial to the older Ibanez versions of the 335 myself, but nothing wrong with the Gibson if you can afford it.

Now, bear in mind I'm a bassist, but I think every guitarist should have a bass - a guitar is nothing but a bass with training strings, after all. I always recommend Jazz basses. They always end up buying P-basses. Nothing wrong with a Precision, but it is a bit of a one-trick pony.

I have one solid body (Tele) and one hollow body(epiphone ES-295). Then its all about amps and pedals and amp settings to get whatever sound you need. Just my opinion. After that your just feedng your GAS. Whis is fun too...:)

You only NEED one guitar.

Seriously, that's all anyone needs. Any more is a luxury, a nice luxury, but a luxury.

Just THE one really. I have a couple of 'em, all different, but I always grab my parts esquire. Always THE one for every and any gig. I love that guitar. I don't even bother to bring a backup anymore.

I have always felt the need for owning a Tele a Strat and an LP at the same time at a minimum and usually a bass...I am one of those with a constantly changing collection, though...I don't own one guitar that I had even 2 years ago...they all seem to be just passing through...
