Help! It's too hot and humid here

Temperature is about 38°C, with 70% humidity... makes to play the guitar VERY heavy.

Does anybody play his own tele without a T-shirt? I mean, against his own naked belly?

Hi, FraKo, very similar here (central TX)... we're not up to 38 yet, but regularly up to 34-35, and the hot season is just beginning... it's about 95% humidity out right now. It will be in the 38 range from July through September, if it's anything like last year.

What I do is wear a thin tank-top t-shirt, and keep a towel handy... and a big bottle of water, too... That and we rehearse in a space with poor ventilation, which is good training... but no, I don't play naked - I stick to the guitar too much...

Glad to hear I'm not alone! I have to confess that sometimes I miss the trumpet, which I played (horribly) for a couple of years before my wife got pregnant. Then I switched back to the guitar, my neighbours appreciated a lot my decision. But, again, a positive aspect of that instrument was the way you handle it, straight in front of your body, with no contact - fingers apart, of course - with your body. It's nice, when it's "too darn hot"!

So what's happening to our envirovment? Heat shouldn't be SO cruel in a continental town (just 1 hour driving to Switzerland) like Milan in June!
