Headstock decals
I'm looking for some kinda headstock decal for my soon-to-arrive Warmoth partscaster. Looking for something kinda funny... well, not funny, but too cool for school
All I can find on Ebay is pin-up girls or Fender rip off decals, neither really appeal. I want something with a bit more imagination. Surely there's a few decals that are a bit more creative than what i'm finding? |

It's really easy to make your own. You can get decal paper that you simply run through your computer's inkjet printer. Here in the UK an A4 sheet costs about three pounds (which is about four and a half dollars???) and you get enough for loads of guitars. HTH

Forum Member JBennett does outstanding work.
He designed my Logo for me, and utilize that image to make my own decals. ![]() ![]() ![]() I have even been able to apply decals manufactured by JBennett himself. ![]() If you are curious about the process involved with making your own decal or applying the decal, Check out this thread

They all look fantastic.
So how to apply them (and make them last)? My guitar neck is coming from Warmoth and already has a vintage nitro tint... will I need to clear coat over the decal? |

What everybody else has said about JBennett.
I let my tech apply the decal, but they did come with instructions, and my tech approved. Cheers, Geoff

Some suggestions:
'Neck' 'Fingerstick' 'Front' 'Freedom' 'Forever' 'Fenderfan' 'Fantastic' I like using Fender decals. I have 3 times on allparts necks. Leo Fender designed it, he gets the credit. I also think a dealer should sell a fender with an invoice quoting the serial number at least, and that paper is the only legit proof you need if someone asks whether you are selling a 'factory Fender'. So don't throw it away. While I think of it, CS guitars are sold with Certificates Of Authenticity, so why not a certificate for all 'factory fenders'? As long as the truth about the origins of your guitar are made plain to a buyer (should you sell it), its cool IMHO. Consider that the market carries lots of non-factory authentic looking fenders: eg, hundreds and thousands of 'fenders' are presumably put together from dismantled fender parts purchased from Matt at Stratosphere and suchlike on feebay. And they are eventually sold somewhere, sometime. As long as the seller informs the buyer and doesn't represent that the partcaster is an original fender...
