Pics of Natural Teles/Esquires Please
I am looking for pictures of Ash Teles and Esquires with a natural finish. I am thinking of building a new Tele and can't decide if I want Blonde or Natural.
Thanks!

Here's my 2004 American Standard with ash body (the neck has been swapped for a 50's reissue Esquire neck) - the wood (or the gloss) seems to have a darker tint than later ash body teles I had thru the music shop where I worked.

![]() ![]() ++ PompeiiO, the beauty of the ash body will more or less tell you what you need to do. Some bodies are too striking, too mismatched or too bland for a clear finish. Those get some blonde toner. The ones with something special about them, those should stay in clear finish. |
