Which of these three HH guitars would you buy?
Hi all -- I'm in the market for a Fender HH guitar. Which of these do you like the best and why? Tonal preferences aside, does one stand out as being better quality?
1. Blacktop Telecaster -- with a possible p/u substitution down the road? 2. Blacktop Jaguar -- love the ergonomics 3. 72 Telecaster Deluxe -- like the dual controls and maple neck I am looking for a versatile rock/blues guitar. I used to have the 1972 Tele Thinline which I loved for it's light weight and tone but wasn't crazy about the 7.25 neck radius. Thanks!

I had a HH blacktop jaguar that I got in a trade, cool guitar. It was brand new too I just didn't like the pickups I'm very particular about my humbuckers, but other than that I had no complaints it had a great neck if i remember correctly

I'm trying to talk myself out of a Blacktop Jag P90 to go with my Jagmaster. I like short scale offsets |

Anything but this. MF was blowing these things out, $ 299 or $ 249 I think. I quickly ordered two, then went and played the ones at the local shop and big box. I was shocked at how bad these were. I went back to the office and canceled my order. No regrets, even for that price. + I'd suggest #1. You can replace the pickups easier with that model, than you can with #3. They will need it worse, though. |

Buy a fender with double buckers, then when you become frustrated by your decision to do so, go ahead and get a guitar designed for humbuckers and is the industry standard, a Les Paul as Telemarkman suggested to start with.
Leo desinged the Tele and Strat for single coils, EXPERTS (=drips under pressure) decided to try and make Gibsons out of fenders by installing humbuckers in them. They should have left the thinking to Leo. I have Fenders, I have a LP, never the twain shall meet but in utter confusion. Consider them to be the saw and the hammer, both tools, but for very different purposes.
