Page Tele finished...

Finished (re!)painting and assembling my Page Tele project and have spent the last week or so breaking it in and fine tuning the intonation and setup...Everything seems good and I'm pretty happy with the results...It's a mix of Fender hardware, Warmoth neck and body, a custom cut pickguard and Fralin pickups. I think a fine adjustment of the nut may be indicated eventually but other than that the assembly was straightforward and the fit of this mix of parts was downright miraculous for a first project!! Here are a few pix:

Thanks again to jokerace72 and Lyle Caldwell and all others who commented, encouraged and helped me along the way, I appreciated it! Have assembled the parts for a Beck Esquire and am in the process of relicing up the body and neck...

I ran across a video of the Yardbirds from '67 (allegedly) and Page is playing this Tele:

Did this Tele become the dragon Tele or is it yet another one? Would appreciate any info and links to clearer photos if possible!

Nice job. I have that video. It's from a Danish TV show from '67. Page eventually removed the round mirrors and painted it with what I understand is supposed to be some kind of Chinese dragon. I've never seen a clear enough picture to actually see if it was a dragon or not. It always pretty much looked like your copy to my eyes.

I don't know there but seems like there was a story or
information here or somewhere in the past. I saw him
play that white one in '67 at a teen fair.

i think it is a late 50's toploader esquire, originally blonde, and i've only heard of one, given to him by jeff beck.
there have been some cool threads on it, and there is a video of "dazed and confused" with him playing that tele live, which is awesome. it was linked in a thread here, it may have been chris s. who hosted it. i'd highly recomend spending some time playing with different search's and try to find that if the owner of the vid link doesnt chime in.
there are more pics of him playing it when it was still blonde too

As I said in the email, I think you did a really nice job!

Indeed, that's the guitar the eventually became the dragon tele. Just for those that might not know, the first pic Twang posted was the prototype one I did. I started one this week as well.

Hope you enjoy it for many years to come.

It's hard to tell if I'm trying to see something that's not there, but does the "mirror" Telecaster already have that odd pickguard extension between the bridge plate and the control plate?
