I get my first vintage tele tomorrow. FINALLY!!!!!!
I've wanted one for years and tomorrow I will go pick it up. A bandmate of mine has a 69 tele thats a fixer upper but none the less a real 69 that he wants to sell and I've been saving my money to get it. Luckily he is a great guy and said he'd hold it till I had the money. That was December and between Christmas and three birthdays in February its been tight lately but I've saved enough money to pay off my truck and get the guitar. Its been a great day to say the least.

I guess this is less of a NGD and more of a great buddy day. He not only waited for me to get the money but also gave me a great price because he knew I wanted one and he's a member here. I should also mention the best player I know.

Where would we all be without good buddies?

Sorry to disappoint you but its been killing me as well. Its not a collector. Its been refinished and the pups arent original but I have some fralin blues specials and I am thinking I may finish it in silver sparkle. The neck is original finish though as well as all the hardware

And its a feather light ash body too!!!!

It has a few issues I'll need to address but its still a 69 and i got it cheaper than an American reissue.

That looks cool ...like the white pick guard. I'm currently playing a '69, but the white guard is in the original owners attic.
