Last month I got an MJT Jazzmaster body in Lake Placid Blue. The build has turned out to be one of the nicest guitars I have ever owned. I love it. Still smells like lacquer too!

I should be getting an update with pics any day now. I've got all the hardware. i think I'll start out with Fender OV pickups.

Care to share your hardware choices? I'm starting to get a little obsessive researching about what to use? I'm pretty set on nickel - I plan to do a slight aging.

Hardware on hand:
Callaham distressed heavy knurled dome top knobs.
AVRI 52 RI bridge and saddles that I reliced
AVRI 52 RI control plate that matches the bridge
Neck plate and screws from a 2006 US Tele

Supplied by MJTele:
Tuners, kluson style
50's string tree
bone nut
string ferrules

I've got most of the slotted head screws and just need to source a few more.

I'll probably get a bakelite pickguard from Callaham, or an AVRI 52 RI one if I canf ind one..

My neck and body have the "closet classic" aging with no chipping, scratches, dings, checking or dirtying. And the vintage gloss finish with only a few spots of wear through the outer finish only. This way it will age in to my use.

I'm thinking about asking Santa for a SD Zephyr bridge pup.

MJT builds make me want to do an MJT build. My specs would be very similar to yours - closet classic. Can't wait to see it!
