My weekend in Nashville (Tele pickers content)

Spent the weekend in Nashville and had a great time. Friday night I went to Robert's and heard The Don Kelley Band. Boy oh boy, That Guthrie Trapp can pick a tele!, and Don ain't no slouch himself, But I found myself spending most of the time watching the Bass player(sorry, I don't remember his name) slapping that standup Bass. The band is really worth seeing if you are ever in town.

Saturday, Went to a Fun jam, and got to meet the Telemaster Bill Hullett, Who showed up with Clay and his other son Wendell. What a pleasure to watch one of the masters play. His son Wendell even did a bit of playing with a cool looking surf green strat. I guess talent just runs in the family. Bill and Clay even gave me a compliment on my Esquire.

So, Bill, It was a pleasure to finally meet you. Clay, good to see you again, and keep after Wendell. He shows a lot of potential, and Guthrie, It was a great to hear you play and next time, I'll make sure I introduce myself. You seemed pretty busy on Friday.

Nashville is a great town. If any of you get a chance, go check it out. A guaranteed fun time

His name is Elio Giordano. He's a great musician and a great guy.

I knew it was something like that, but didn't want to embarass myself by misspelling it

Good to see you again Greg!

It was a big time at the jam Saturday. Playing and then
chatting with a bunch of real nice folks made for a lot
of fun.

There was quite a collection of cool guitars, basses and
amps as well. Probably better than most guitars shows
I've been to in years.

(I regret missing the chili and dogs though.)

Well, I didn't miss the chili and dogs.

My plane barely made it off the ground again!

Yes, a real fun weekend, and I'd do it all over again! I wish it weren't quite so far away though!
