Nancy nitty gritty

I think this is new to most people. I hope it is new to y'all. Anyway, to me at least, this is the most close up shots of Nancy that I have seen in one place. In my feeble mind, this is THE tele of all teles

http://www.little-house.com/gallery/ele_tele.html

Anyone know what kind of switch tip is on that thing?

Great Nancy pics

Super pics of a historic tele. I’m sure that tele has been refretted a number of times. Anyone know what kind of frets Roy used? Those ones look like medium jumbos.

Since I can't read the Japanese, who owns Nancy now? Is it still in the hands of the Buchanan family?

S'more shots

Cool pics! Here's a couple more you might have not seen. Got a few of Gatton's setup as well. The rest of this website is pretty good too.

The Tip he used

The swirch tip is what you find on a Hammond B-3, C-3, A-100, or basically any older Hammond with a Leslie control box on it.I think it's Bakelite for sure, I do not know who manufactured them for Hammond, possiblt DakaWare as well-
I hope that guitar is not in the hands of a collector, but with that website, it worries me a little...........

Isn't it jointly owned by John Sprung of Fender Amps: The First Fifty Years fame and Gil Southworth of Southworth Guitars?

Not according to John.

I talked to him a few months ago (looking for some tolex) and when his store was in MD (when Roy died) the entire collection was up for display for a week or two, I lived nearby and took a few pics (nuthin' to write home about, but nice to have...)

I think John acted as a broker or mediator or something for it...but long story short, when I had him on the phone, I asked him about the Roy collection, whether the one buyer still had the whole enchilada, he said, no, they are spread out like the wind now...

I believe Nancy was part of the sale, as the buyer wanted either all of them or nothing (for collector's value I guess)

That's all I know...

PS, I just went to check out the links above, one pic looks like it was taken at Southworth (tinpanalley), the other was a picture taken of the collection at the same time I shot mine, the same yellow banner being in all of my pics, that was at AGC in Wheaton, MD.
