I must be fricken crazy. . . yet another Tele on its way.
Fricken Tele crazy that is.
Just put an order in for a Fender Limited edition Chambered Spruce top Tele. After four years of being Fenderless, Tele number five will bring me full circle back to the Fender family. This should keep my two Lentz Ts, one Grosh Retro T and one project Tele (mostly Suhr and Callaham parts) good company. The only reservation is that all my Teles have big fat necks and big frets. The Spruce top's neck is very 60s, i.e., 7 1/4" radius and vintage frets. Anyone out there have or play one of these Chambered Spruce tops? Art |

And you've already got some real nice ones. I also have a couple hand built custom guitars, but number one is a bone stock 52RI. My buddy's been devolving too - from boutique instruments to an Oly White Strat. Fender is making some goood stuff these days. Please post some pics if and when you can. Thanks for posting.

I have two other Spruce top guitars, a true hollow body and a chambered DC. I was actually going to start on another project Tele with similar specs, until I found this one. |

one of my favorite all time tele's is your purty "night" Artandink...good to see you didn't sell it for the "big bucks" like some-o-them other cats did their Lentz's. I still have my sweet blonde:

Replaced neck with USACG '54 neck and DeTemple Alnico 2 (Lollar) pups. Truly one of my best sounding Teles. ![]() ![]() |
