Roy Buchanan with Roy Nichols?

Does anyone here have any of these recordings? I posted on a Yahoo group page called Roys_live_traders and they said there were two shows, but I haven't heard from anyone about how to get them.

Do any of you Buchanan or Nichols fans have these?!?!

I do know Roy N taught Roy B alot of stuff when Roy B was first starting out. I've seen them play a bit together on that PBS Special Roy B sat in with Merle and Roy N was on guitar also.

Mark, is the one who clued me in on the PBS bit - I had no idea! And I LOVE both of 'em! I'll be keeping a hawk's eye on this thread and I'll keep my fingers crossed someone knows how to get ahold of them

There is a guy who was a member of the old TDP Bob Davis no relation he has all the vids Roy made. Look at the members list see if he is here and email him see if he still has them its a killer.

I have vid of Roy playing the Rockpalast show in 1985 and I have vid of him on Austin City Limits in 1976 both are in like .vcd format. I have not been able to get them play on my DVD player but they play fine on my computer with Windows Media Player 6.4 and higher.

I would offer to weed these but I wanna see what Paul thinks about that kind of stuff first. I am not sure this is the place BUT the place (stop me if this is monotonous by now) to get Roy stuff basically free or for trade is the Roy_live_traders group.

I don't have the Nichols stuff. What you wanna to do is go back to the Roy_traders list and ask if anyone would do a B+P for these shows. You may have better luck with that. I think the guy that responded to you (Phil Carson) the author of the Roy Buchanan biography was mistaken. The specific vids you seek are a bit more rare to that may be why you didn't get any response. Phil thinks everybody has everything due his unique if not somewhat odd realtionshio to all things Roy.

he's a great guy to deal with and he has a lot of footage on Roy.

Bob is a really good guy. He had a lot of Gatton bootlegs and videos at one point, too.
