NGD: Welch Twang Slinger Deluxe

New Guitar Day!!!!! Got this great guitar from Heath at Welch Guitars...
This thing plays like butter and sounds just as great. Can't wait to play it more this weekend :)

It's an Aqua color with double binding, Alder body with a Maple Neck with abalone dot inlays it feels like a "C" shaped style neck. The Pickups are Wilkinson Vintage Voiced Alnico V's. They are nice and warm and well balanced almost like the "Tex Mex's. I like the output jack, it is the Les Paul Style which makes it nice if you use right angle cables.

If anyone is in the market for a nice tele at great prices you should check out the Welch guitar line.

Welch is on Facebook, but doesn't have a website yet. They do have some brick and mortar dealers, at least one in Tenn.. They have been announcing some new stuff coming in March that is wicked cool looking. There are pics up on Facebook.

Sorry to ressurect such an old thread, but I'm curious. How fat is the neck on this? Also, is the neck a tinted maple, gloss or satin finish? Thanks!

FB might have some leads on dealers. The website also may clue you in. The MSRP is 400 and some change, which I thought was kindo high. But that's just me.

You do realize you've resurrected a Zombie thread almost 2 years old, right! But I sure do love these guitars! Glad I own a few of them :)
