Just ordered Spyder's CD
After hearing much about how great that CD is and knowing how bad I can make a Tele sound,
Shawn

I found it very beneficial, 'course I'm still a long way from being competent.

I'm up to Track#3 of Spyders CD
Spyders CD is a great instructional tool and I'm really enjoying learning from it. I just started track # 3 last night. I'm taking it at my own pace and trying to make sure I have somewhat of a grasp of what each track teaches before I move on to the next. I can't say enough good things about it!

cross-picking
I found the cross-picking stuff to be exceptionally beneficial. I had already got my pick and middle finger going, but Spyder's really got my ring finger involved, and that's a big key to being able to pull off those percussive country runs...
Highly recommended from me, too. |

Ho....for the most part I'm a person that has to be *pushed* to do things.....the medical field calls it low self esteem...I call it laziness with a hint of apathy....its probably the reason I never took my playin' skills to more fertile ground..... I was more or less *pushed* into recording the tutorial several years ago....and have to be pushed to say anything about it.....my CD has gotten good reviews as far as I know...I try my best to teach methodology folks need to know....other than the little site I have, I've never tried to *push* the disc to a higher level...haven't asked for links from this site or others....haven't approached any publishing firms....I didn't even mention it to GP mag, which BTW I was *pushed* by my wife and daughter to pursue....the disc is what it is, strickly a teachin' method....if folks are interested they have to hit my site or ask a 3rd party for information...or email me I reckon...later, spyder
