what is the "notch?"

I see references to a "notch" in tele bodies in various posts. Could someone fill me in on what it is? (I hate being out of the loop!) Thanks

Here ya go !!

  • It's the liddo cut-out on the top edge of the neck pocket where the body meets the neck.
  • It became gone after 73 untill 83.
