Which Telecaster should Fender make as the next Signature mo
I'm thinking a Bruce Springsteen (granted it's really a '52 Esquire with the additional pickup- but still a member of the Tele family in my book). I think the Custom Shop can do a great job making the distressed woodgrain body.
OR, it maybe a little more pricey and not to mention heavier, but George Harrison's all rosewood tele from the Let it Be/Apple Rooftop sessions. |

another one
Beck's is a good one.
I just had another thought- "Micawber", Keith Richards? The humbucker would be nice, but not sure if everyone would always want to work with the 5 strings and open G tuning... |

Purpose of artist models?
Now, are most of you interested in the Artist models as a way of honoring a guitar player, or of making available a particular model with certain desirable features, hopefully influenced by the artist?
Though I'm not opposed to the former, I'm more in the camp of the latter. The new MIM Robert Cray strat or the Muddy Waters tele are a good examples--both have combinations of features and pricing not otherwise available. What do youse think?

Workin' man's ax
Tribute Teles are one thing, but if you want a machine that will carry major power, how 'bout this:
![]() He's already a Fender endorsee.

I would love too see.....
.... A signature model from the Late/Great, Chicago guitarist Terry Kath. I would gladly fork over some serious coin to possess a replica of Terry's Telecaster!

They can borrow mine if they want to
Well if Fender want´s to come by one day they could take mesurments om my ´72 Tele and make a "Steven signature Tele Relic". Although I am a little uncertain if that prodject would result in a huge profit for Fender. :)

Already some Tele suggestions available.
Guys: I think there is a KEEF Tele from Japan out, and the USA Custom shop had a run of silver sparkle Don Rich Tele, probably big doe$$
Also What type of Tele was Jimmy Bryants? Can't remember. Thanks Brass Saddles Boston, MA. |

![]() Hey, what am I saying. I don't like relicing. OK, for this one I'd make an exception I am sure. Might even forget the double binding issue... :) Actually, that was one of the things I thought about building: A relic'd double bound Micawber... 8) Geir :)
