GOOD ta go !!

  • Sat-tid-day nite iss aw-rite!!!
  • Gonna drag this "pill" up the hill and giff it it's stage debute (day-bwe).
  • This is sum kind of TELECASTER (Tele fer yew purists).
  • It has the nickles, vintage bridge #2538, the E ta-D de-tuner, the Samick modified pickguard (cause the lower bout waz so rounded), the gin-yew-wine FUZZY-blend circuit, a standard jack cup (cause I ain't got a milled one yet), no caps, no resistors, Mickey Mouse neck P/U and new strings.
  • This thang SCREAMS!! I don't think Mark will enjoy it that much cause he likes a mellow TELECASTER but I will.

[*]Oh few wanna splain-nation of the FUZZY-blend circuit I will but later cause I gotta post this for it timez out.

    FUZZY issa happy camper!!

Looks great. Nice to know that you are keeping with the nickel tradition.

    I got my nickels!!!

That thing is so round does it slide down your leg if you rest it on it to play it?

    It a sweet un fuzzster!

On monday, please give us the lowdown on the gig tone. Maybe we can start a thread on the tone merits of buffalo head nickles over the "modern" type. Hmmm. Solid silver nickles or copper filled? What gives the proper vintage tone?

I certainly hope you have a blast a your gig Fuzzy. I really enjoy your posts and I can vicariously feel your anticipation for the up-coming gig! Enjoy and have fun.

  • Don't che be laffin now !!
  • I done did about erry wirin scheme yew kin dew with a TELECASTER and I like this one and thats watt counts ain't it?
  • It works and this iss how I did it.
  • First, the volume don't go down all the way. The only way tew change the tone is tew turn the volume down whilst inna lead position.
  • The middle mixes the tew P/Us but the neck pot is backwards in order tew make the tone (neck pot) adjustable by blending in the neck with the lead.
  • The neck position works backwards when selected for some strange sounds.
  • Don't try this at home !! Unless yew jes wanna dew sumthin a liddo different.
  • No caps and no resistors ats why it screams inna lead position
  • I know all yew wirin-sperts are laffin so quit it out ya hear!!
  • I'll let yew know how it does live and on stage after Satt-terd-day nite!!

Now the hoe world kin cee how silly I am HEE! HEE!

    Hey Ole Fuzzy,

From looking at those pictures, it seems like all you got to do is put black nail polish on the neck pickup pole pieces, and folks will think you're playing an Esquire.

I color the pole pieces on the middle pickup of my 'yeller' guitar with a sharpie. You can hardly see it from a few feet away. It does wear off quickly. I'll have to try the nail polish.

    What is that neck?

    Cheers,

    Thanks again Fuzzy

It's a joy to see someone take their passion and knowledge and share it with the rest of us. I'm a high school teacher, and that is a rare thing! It's truly inspiring to see how you are able to communicate your knowledge of all things Telecaster.

I did visit your web page last week and I really enjoyed the story of the Shoemaker telecaster.

On a related note, I have a gal friend in Chico who would like to know where your band is playing Saturday night! She'd probably make it by to listen to you guys. She's a Tele-head, too, and can pick and sing very well.
