For some reason, but I have no idea where I thought I heard this, but something makes me think that Delaney Bramlet of Bonnie & Delaney got it from George as a gift and still has it... don't quote me tho-

Delaney still has it
It was a thank you from George after he toured with Delaney & Bonnie. Not to long ago I stumled on to Bonnie Brammlet's web page and there were pictures of her and Delaney from a recent reunion gig, sure enough some of the pictures show Delaney with Georges Tele and others show him with Duane Allmans sunburst Stratocaster. Not a bad little collection huh!!!
BTW not too long ago Delaney tried to sell the George-O-Caster at auction less than a year after the Clapton guitar auction. He pulled it from the block becuase the max bid was about $150,00 and he planned on getting alot more.
