4 way switch help!
Is there anyway of wiring up a Fender 4 way switch to get the following on a 3 pickup tele?
1. bridge 2. bridge+middle 3. bridge+neck 4. neck Or the same as above except - 3. middle only Can anyone help me out here? Thanks in advance! |

I'm not positive on this, but I think somebody asked this question on the old page, and the answer was no, due to the design of the switch itself. You can rearrange the order in which the selections appear, but they are your only options.
To get all he combinations you want, you'll need a 5-way Strat switch, along with either a push-pull pot switch or mini-toggle to turn either the neck or bridge pickup on or off...... -Michael Charter Member S. Texas He-Man Emoticon Haters Local #316

That's cool...
Thanks Mike, I'll stick to my "reverse middle and bridge hot leads" mod on a 5 way - works for me, even tho its a bit weird having the bridge PU in the middle position.
1. middle 2. middle bridge 3. bridge 4. bridge neck 5. neck Guess I'll leave the 4 way in the parts drawer for now... |
