Shout out to ElDorado !

Just some Pics and a Shout out to Bill Silverman and his Company…ElDorado Straps & Guitar Accessories.
They are a Class Act from Start to Finish…(and everything Fits !)…This was done for a Good Customer in Texas,
and a Forum member. The only additions I did was to create some Backing plates for both strap buttons, and
a surface mounted jack plate using Conchos I modified from a Western Tack Shop…This look is not for everyone, and is meant to Show off
Bill's fine line of Products and how they look installed on a Tele…so to those who feel they must express their dislikes for such things,
kindly refrain, and let others enjoy the Pics.

Very cool. Wouldn't want to be caught holding an ace up my sleeve in that saloon.

The "Concho-Caster"

As all of you know that frequent Mr. Mellecaster's threads, he is truly a fine craftsman as well as a Gent of the highest caliber. Yes he did this one for me and I've got to say I couldn't be more pleased with the way my vision came out. I got the idea when I saw some of Bill Silvermann's engraved Tele Jewelry (that's what I call it), online. I already had the HWY 1, that I had re-crafted by Mellecaster last year. it had the reversed control plate, was re-wired with cloth push-back conductor wire, all the usual upgraded electronics that Tony does for me and some Fender CS "Texas Tele" pups with a 4 way switch.
So I sent it to him saying "let's make this thing really look like a Texas Tele" As usual, he rose to the challenge and did it perfectly, IMHO. the Eldorado Engraved Parts and Leather PG is first rate as you can see. But old Mellecaster added a couple of extra touches of his own, so this baby is Blinged-out.
How do you like her?

*By the way she has more twang than ever, probably because of the Glendale saddles that we added while we were doing the other stuff. I just love this axe.

I like El Dorado stuff and have a strap but using those conchos for the strap buttons and jack plate is a unique touch. Very cool Tony. Enjoy 'er Slade!

I have two of their vintage carved straps, tan and black. Love 'em.

I've got 6 or 8 of his straps, and I got my friends buying them, too. Bill and his company are a class act.

I got one of the tooled pickguards and liked it so much I bought my friend one too!

Looks great and you don't see many of them around, particularly in the UK!

Wow. Just...wow... That just looks so exactly right.

My wife rolls her eyes and does a facepalm whenever I get another cowboy shirt. I need to get me a Tele done up like that just to watch her brain explode!

I always wondered what Bill's engraved Tele hardware would actually look like on a guitar.....very nice! The conchos really amplify the theme. I've got one ElDorado strap and it's my favorite:

Few more Detail Pics...I would liked to have countersunk the Screw heads more on the Jack Plate, but was working with extremely tight tolerances...Hoping Bill might make up something from scratch, to better address this. I had no idea that Conchos are just available in very limited sizes.

Takes me Back

This Tele takes me back to the pics of one of the great Jimmy Bryant's Teles. He had his initials on the pickguard.
