interesting "coincidence"--somebody's been studyin
Recently i bought a used tele--what i took to be a CJ 50s reissue blond body with a reliced neck--I assumed it was a CIJ neck, but who knows? Some of the details were pretty convincing, like the short walnut plug. The relic job was pretty good too, and someone had penciled in the ever-present "TG-12-54" on the heel of the neck. I paid what you'd expect to pay for a used CIJ guitar, in the $300 range. The store owner also assumed it was a "fake" neck, but he had some doubts
So I went online to find out what i had--I checked at the "telecaster gallery" http://tele.chookindustries.com/ and found Esquire #3011. (http://tele.chookindustries.com/gui...011/index.html here's a picture of the neck on Esquire 3011 and the neck on the tele I bought . Pretty interesting, eh?
