Archtop Jazz Tele
Hi,
Just wanted to share some pictures of my new baby : custom crafted Jazz Archtop telecaster , built for me by a French luthier located in Rennes. Body : chambered African mahogany Top : hand carved flamed maple Neck : long tenon set-in birds-eyes maple with ebony fingerboard and mother of pearl side dots Electronic : Di-Marzio PAFPRO with 3 ways toggle switch : humb / split /parallel ; and russian 30nf capacitor for soft mellow tone cut Hardware : Through body strings hardtail with Taipan tone bar, Grover deluxe locking machines-head , 2 way double bars "HOT ROD" truss-rod Very versatile although it features only one pickup : - clear / acoustic Jazz tones (parallel coils) - warm jazz with (humb + tone cut) - great Tele style crunch with split and parallel coils Craftsmanship is PRS level, see below : ![]()

That is amazing! I mean, the body work is absolutely stunning,, the curves and slopes look how I bet they sound...haha! The pickup position is perfect for jazz application, very well thought out....I am very much a purist when it comes to the telecaster look and tone, but when you see this guitar you know it is a jazz cat...excellent, thanks for sharing the drawing as well!

Pickup cover or ring? I think this is a boxers or brief question. Right now, the guitar is going commando.
