Emachineshop.com for all of us tinkerers

I know that many of us like to tinker with our Teles, and on more than one occasion I have frustrated myself trying to make or locate just the right part.

I saw this on another forum, but I thought it might be appreciated here.

It looks like you can draw just the right part, and they will machine it for you.

Maybe I can finally make an adapter to mount P90s on my humbucker equipped Guild without having to cut or drill into it.

Anyway, it looks pretty darn cool. If you already have a problem with too much tinkering, you may not want to look.

I saw that at CNN. I wonder how hard the CAD software is to use?

That is very cool. It's actually an idea I thought of a while back, one of those things that I thought was inevitable. Not being much of an entrepreneur or real engineer, I never thought about it much. I also wasn't sure that could be cost effective enough to make a profit, but at least a few people thought it could be done!

And not to get on your case or anything, but you do know that the P-94 is a P-90 pickup in a humbucker size, right?

Durn winders!

I'm so shocked that the free CAD sofware isn't mac compatible. Think they'll take a Form Z generated drawing? Or chicken scratches on "Big Chief" paper?

Oh, absolutely. There are quite a few humbucker sized "P90s" on the market now. I meant an actual P90 with the correct coil and bobbin size. I'm trying a couple of the GFS humbucker sized P90s, but it sure would be nice to put a pair of Lollar dogears on without drilling and cutting into my beloved Guild.
