I sure think so. At the very least he has one of my favourite "Telecaster" sounds. Obviously it's not off the Fender showroom floor...

Junior wins the award for sounding more like a Tele than most people who actually play one haha.

His guit-steel has no tele parts. Its a Bullet neck with a Fender mustang strat and lap steel pickup in the guitar and stock 50's stringmaster pickups in the steel side.

Thats how old yeller is set up but he only plays the red one now Big Red its got a sho bud pickup in the steel side.

Believe it's got a Strat bridge (the vintage style), with no arm on it.

He grabs under the rear lip of it and lifts it up to do small dives.

He's playing at Floore's Country Store just north of town later this month. Think I'm gonna have to go to that one...

man, that guy is incredible.

he's a lot of fun to watch play if you have the chance! we don't get him in chicago too much :(

I guess he's waiting until retirement.
