I'd say his appraisal is slightly inflated, as probably is his ego....

I'm confused about the P-90. Is it wound to sound like a P-90 or is this a "P-90" designed to fit a standard single coil slot? Isn't a P-90's big flat coils the whole point of its design?

I am sad to be selling a guitar truly one of a kind , which will only grow rarer and more valuable with time.

OK, I'm confused. How does a "one of a kind" guitar become "more rare" with time ?

Rare

The guitar might be rare but the write up is over done.

It's my sincere wish that this seller will wake up after months of trying to sell this guitar and say to himself "Hey, maybe this guitar isn't that rare or valuable after all".

But today I'll just wish him a 'Merry Christmas' and hope that when that light bulb finally turns on, it will burn the top of his head just a little bit.

I don't get this one. B-Benders out of the factory are a fraction of that price. Find one on the shelf somewhere in this economy. My local dealer told me the other day to to take 25% off the store price, for any Gibson or Fender in the store. I think it was a slim holiday season for guitar retailers. And, they have sales ground to make-up. Payrolls to make.

Adds to that 'Rare' mystique, doesn't it ??

I suspect that dude may have been powdering his nose while posting that auction.

Probably a Rio Grande Dirty Harry, "P-90 voiced" tele neck pickup.

Thank you quonsar.

I guess that's the only thing that makes sense. I had no clue they were making something like that. Although calling that a P-90 makes about as much sense to me as spraying white stripes on a black donkey and calling it a zebra.

Any ad/auction that has a narrative in the description always gets my "PASS" light flashing. Dude, just tell me what the guitar's made of and point out the dings in the photo.

Of course, you only have to find one idiot to make it all worthwhile.
