The first one, is wrongly marked as Gator Bite on You Tube, it's called 'Don't try this at Home' and was from the Players 1999 CD, now out of print. The one to see is the one recorded summer 09 in Germany, in the Rattlesnake Bar or something, if you search on You Tube you will find it. I would post a link but I'm at work and can't access You Tube.
There is a version of that song that has been on here more times than I can remember with Vince Gill doing the bluesy bit in the middle - That is also great but the one from Germany is the best one IMO.

I'm sorry guys but don't you have something better to do, like learning some of his licks/solos instead of commenting on a guitar strap. I bought a new strap for my guitar because the old one got worn out maybe he did the same.

Has he always played a bender?
At around 1:15 you can see him pulling down on the neck and his strap is connected near the neck plate. I always thought his guitar had no bender. Last edited by Mightyaxeman; December 9th, 2009 at 06:49 PM.. |

As far as I know, he's had a bender for years. The '68 tele has had one for ages (at least since before the Hot Licks video which was mid 90's as he uses it on that), and the signature ones he tends to take to gigs (the brown one and the 3 tone sunburst) have them also. They don't come with one though...

I can't remember for sure, but in the Hot Licks Video, doesn't he mention that he had just gotten the b-bender installed on his guitar and he was trying to get used to using it? I remember seeing some video that he said that in.

From about 1:47, you won't find a more tasteful solo. The man has it all. Including a strat.
