Baja neck: to sell or not to sell

I've had my Baja for a few weeks now and I like the neck better than I did initially - I may have been a bit harsh in my original judgment. But I've come to the conclusion that since my hands down no-contest favourite neck is the Allparts FAT, I'm just going to put one on there and be done with it.

Any opinions on whether to keep the original neck or to sell it and recoup the cost of the replacement?

The only reason to keep it that I can see is resale value. But that only becomes an issue if you ever sell! And I KNOW that once I get that Allparts FATty on there, it's going to be a keeper.

Of course, I've said that before....

Only YOU will know the answer to your question. I don't think you need other folks to tell you what to do with your guitars, surely?

Sell it. You can get good money for a Baja neck, lots of people love them.
If you ever want to get rid of it you can then sell the loaded body separately.

I'm in the market for a Baja neck for a project. I have a Baja body and bridge, GE Smith electronics, but now just need a neck. PM me if you decide to sell it. Thanks.

As always, thanks for the input. Yes, of course, the final decision will be made by me. I was looking for advice, not to be told what to do.

If I had asked which will I like better, the Allparts FAT or the Baja neck, then that would have been stupid as nobody knows my opinion but me. However, I'm asking if I should keep an unused neck or sell it - a list of pros and cons if you will.

tele12, you make a good point about selling the loaded body. jimdye, I'll PM you soon.

If the economy improves, you will get more for that Baja neck in six months than you can get right now.

People are holding back, so they can muster the funds they will need to "do Christmas right" with their friends and loved ones.
