Well, I broke down and called ... It's the sunburst Roadworn tele for $699.

I was also informed by the sales person that this is the LAST Fender Friday.

Actually, it's the roadworn 50s STRAT, not Tele! $699. And Yes, this is the end of Fender Fridays.

I need them to stop Fender Fridays. Every week I am tempted to pick up the phone and call them. Thankfully I have resisted. I dont have the funds for any new gear.

It was fun while it lasted. Maybe it will be back after the holidays.

Yes! It's over!
Hoping MF never does that again!

It was fun, but pure torture for those of us that have no money. Regretting not getting that sunburst RW Telecaster last summer for $499. Would have been an excellent start for a RW Esquire project.

I am so pleased that you've agreed to accept this assignment, to compile all the items, the prices, and the days they were offered on!

++++++++

In a way, I'm glad it is over for a while. People were under pressure to spend money buying guitars when they really needed to go have an amplifier fixed, or go get the car serviced. It was entertaining but also distracting and it disrupted my guitar assembling activities. At some point guys who can't afford one, still can't afford one; guys who could afford only 1 got 1; and guys who don't need any more guitars were doing all the buying.

++++++

Funny, that thru this whole program, until the very last, I'd ended up buying 1 guitar (Melody Maker) that wasn't MFFF, then got the 2 GC Highway Ones which were not MFFF, and if the folks at MF hadn't taken mercy on me I'd have completely missed out on the show - maybe that's why they looked after me, they knew otherwise I'd have outsmarted myself and got none.

I did a search on the posts in this forum. It looked like it started out a bit slow, like one item a week. Then in recent weeks, it seems that the floodgates opened and we saw half a dozen to a dozen guitars on sale, then we're right back down to one now. Not quite as colorful as I was expecting. Still, it was interesting to see just how low some these guitars went for.

It will interesting to see if that basic 24/7 phone in list of things on "somewhat sale" will also be killed off, or if maybe the deals will switch back over into that format. That list, you could call anytime and it was not limited to Fender decal products. Squier, Gibson, etc.

It was a wild ride while it lasted. Got a chance to sample some things that I wouldn't have at the regular prices. Enough excitement. Back to playing. RIP MFFF.
