Hohner Telecaster look a like

This thing sold for $300

I have one exactly like it

Are these things collectible?

Any ideas as to why it went for this amount?

No these are not the collectable ones, plywood body, bad electrictronics, cheap components. 300 is way too high for those.

I feel sorry for the buyer, who won't know that until it arrives. Hohner has built some great guitars, but that wasn't one of them. Another example of the abuse of the words "Vintage" and "Rare" on auction sites.

Here's another just like it for 650 bucks, where the seller states that it's one of only a handful known to exist and extremely collectible. Have a laugh here.

I still have my first guitar, Hohner Les Paul Custom from 1977. It is as near & dear to my heart as my JB Tele, EJ or EC strat's, but......

It's a $100 guitar at best, and probably not the best $100 guitar.

I bought mine years ago to use as a beater when I was working out of town.

The subject guitar is from the '60s ........... a time when Japanese guitars were crap. I had a Hohner bass from that era.
